DALLAS—Speaking on behalf of U.S. Congressman the Honorable Kenny Marchant, Mr. Matt Jack, the outreach representative for the Congressman's office, said "it was a privilege" to have been invited to see the Shen Yun Performing Arts show after watching the performance on Saturday, Feb. 6.

"It's a privilege for all of us to experience the beautiful colors, the amazing synchronized dancing-that was fantastic," he said in a speech at the post-show VIP reception.

Mr. Jack said he appreciated seeing the "wonderful culture of classical China" through the show and thanked the organizers for involving Mr. Marchant in welcoming Shen Yun to Dallas.

Referring to Mr. Marchant's proclamation letter in support of Shen Yun, Mr. Jack said, "The document is just a simple way for him to show his appreciation for the Shen Yun Performing Arts, for their involvement in the community and for their influence."

"It's so rare that here in Dallas-Fort Worth, that we can experience classical Chinese culture. As said before, even in China they don't even get to experience this form of art," he said.

Mr. Marchant recognizes the Shen Yun Performing Arts show as a "momentous occasion" for his district in his proclamation letter and says, "I am honoured to recognize the Shen Yun Performing Arts Days for its cultural influence and outstanding society."

The Shen Yun International Company will next go to Springfield, Illinois to perform one show on Tuesday, Feb. 9.
